Lisbon’s history is engraved in its buildings and in the layout of its streets. This private tour, for your group only, comes in two versions.

3 hours: the city centre. The tour stays entirely in central Lisbon and follows its different periods and urban changes, neighbourhood by neighbourhood. We compare the older, winding streets of Alfama and Mouraria, the orthogonal plan of Chiado and Bairro Alto (laid out centuries before the Baixa) and the Pombaline Downtown, rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. We also see how architecture keeps renewing the centre, including the modern Baixa-Chiado metro station by Siza Vieira.

Full day: three Lisbons. The full-day tour goes further from the centre, following three architectural ages from the 18th to the 21st century: the dreamed city of Pombal, the modern city of the Estado Novo (from Areeiro to Alameda) and the Expo 98 area at Parque das Nações.
